SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Eugene Holford of Peoria, who passed away 
4on August 9, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Holford was born on January 4, 1936, in 
6Peoria, to Judd E. and Burnette (nee Blue) Holford; he married 
7Caroline Ward on June 11, 1960, in Peoria; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Eugene Holford worked at Caterpillar Incorporated 
9for 20 years; he then worked as a  maintenance supervisor at 
10Lindenwood Health Care Center; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Eugene Holford enjoyed John Wayne movies and 
12spending time with his family and his dog, Mandy; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Eugene Holford was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his 4 sisters; and his 3 brothers; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Eugene Holford is survived by his wife, Caroline; 
16his son, Judd; his brother, Jack (Doris); his sisters, Bernice 
17Orwig and Judy Holford; his caregivers, Chris Johnson, Kitty 
18McCarthy, and Sheryl Ward; and several nieces and nephews;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Eugene Holford, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Eugene Holford as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
