SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas R. Slott of Wheaton, who passed 
4away on August 12, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Slott was born on September 10, 1923; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Thomas Slott served his country in the United 
7States Army Air Corps during World War II; and
  
 

  
8    WHEREAS, Thomas Slott was the beloved husband of 67 years 
9of Lorraine (nee Liszewski); the loving father of Donn, Susan 
10(Craig) Casino, John, Richard (Barbara), Dennis (Maureen), and 
11the late Michael (Jean); the devoted grandfather of Jason, Amy, 
12Jennifer, Carrie, Kelley, Meaghan, Dominic, Jessica, Jacob, 
13Erik, Ryan, Kyle, Meredith, Thomas, and William; the 
14great-grandfather of Gianna, Vincent, Dane, Lilliana, Grant, 
15Benjamin, and Nathan; and the fond brother  of John (Mary), 
16Maryann (the late Wayne) Vanderwall, and the late Daniel; 
17therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Thomas R. Slott, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
21family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
