| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Frohman "Buddy" Wool, M.D., who passed |
| 4 | | away on August 3, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Frohman Wool was born on August 13, 1920; he was |
| 6 | | raised in St. Louis, Missouri; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Frohman Wool attended St. Louis University for his |
| 8 | | undergraduate studies and for medical school; after |
| 9 | | graduation, he served as a captain in the United States Army |
| 10 | | and was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas; while in Little |
| 11 | | Rock, he met the love of his life, Millie, whom he married on |
| 12 | | January 3, 1948; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Shortly after getting married, Frohman Wool and |
| 14 | | his wife moved to Waukegan, where he began practicing medicine; |
| 15 | | over his 45-year career, he developed a sterling reputation as |
| 16 | | a "true family physician"; as an attending physician at Victory |
| 17 | | Memorial Hospital and St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, he |
| 18 | | delivered babies and performed surgeries; following his |
| 19 | | retirement, he continued his passion for medicine as an |
| 20 | | instructor at Chicago Medical School in North Chicago; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Frohman Wool was elected to the prestigious Alpha |
