SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Richard E. Boyer of Park City, who passed 
4away on July 16, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was born on October 5, 1927 in St. 
6Paul, Minnesota; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was employed at Goodyear Hose and 
8Rubber for many years; he also served as the General Manager of 
9Lake Bluff Bath and Tennis Club for many years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was a member of Moose Lodge #667 
11Zion-Benton in Zion; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was preceded in death by his wife, 
13Katherine, and his brothers, Frances, Robert, and Dennis; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Boyer is survived by his life partner, 
15Patricia "Pat" Cartwright; his daughters, Linda Froghn Powell, 
16Yvonne (Kevin) Boyer-Eccles, and Pamela "Tammie" Reyes; his 
17stepson, Travis Cartwright; his grandchildren, Michele and 
18Rick Powell, Adam, Dustin (Stacey), and Sara Eccles, Brandon 
19Victores, and Katherine Reyes; his great-grandchildren, 
20Nathan, Ceslie, Cody, Ricky, and Brianna; his

1great-great-grandchild, Rylan; his sister, Sandra "Suzie" 
2Makynen; his sister-in-law, Mary Helen Boyer; and his nieces 
3and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard E. Boyer; and 
7be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Richard Boyer as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
