SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas M. Moore of Godfrey, who passed 
4away on July 13, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Moore was born on August 27, 1934 in 
6Orange, New Jersey; his parents were Martin and Dorothy (nee 
7McMickle) Moore; he married Marjorie Connell on November 10, 
81956 in Medford, Massachusetts; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Moore was employed by Allstate Insurance 
10Company from 1959 to 1984; he subsequently worked for Millers 
11Mutual Insurance as Senior Vice President in charge of 
12Insurance Operations until his retirement in 1996; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Moore was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic 
14Church; he was a member of Lockhaven Country Club and the 
15club's Board of Directors; he was also a member of the Board of 
16Directors and the Executive Committee at St. Anthony's Health 
17Center and served as Chairman of St. Anthony's Finance 
18Committee; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Thomas Moore was preceded in death by his parents; 
20and

1    WHEREAS, Thomas Moore is survived by his wife, Margi; his 
2sons and their spouses, Michael Moore, Timothy Moore, Steven 
3(Amy) Moore, and David (Ginny) Moore; his grandchildren, Danny, 
4Joe, Emily (fiance, Nick Knight), Tom, Chris, Katherine, 
5Danielle, Holly, and Jack Moore; and his sister, Patricia Karg; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas M. Moore; and 
10be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Thomas Moore as an expression of our 
13sympathy.
