| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Norman Edwin Heinrich of Crystal Lake, |
| 4 | | who passed away on June 8, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich was born on June 20, 1926, in |
| 6 | | Addison to August and Helen (Krage) Heinrich; he married |
| 7 | | Lillian Rose Hachmeister on June 29, 1947; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich worked as a dairy farmer in |
| 9 | | Addison from 1947 to 1962 when he and Helen moved to Crystal |
| 10 | | Lake and continued dairy farming until retiring in 1998; he was |
| 11 | | a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau, the McHenry County |
| 12 | | Cooperative Extension Council, the Pure Milk Association, |
| 13 | | Associated Milk Producers Incorporated, the Dairy Herd |
| 14 | | Improvement Association, the American Dairy Association, and |
| 15 | | the McHenry County Dairy Promotion Council; he held numerous |
| 16 | | offices and served on many boards in each of these dairy |
| 17 | | organizations; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich was a member of Immanuel Lutheran |
| 19 | | Church in Crystal Lake, where he was active on many boards and |
| 20 | | committees over the years; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich enjoyed traveling with his family |

| 1 | | to many national and international locations; he played |
| 2 | | softball and football in his younger years and was an avid |
| 3 | | bowler for much of his life; during his time living at Fair |
| 4 | | Oaks Health Center he continued to help others by serving on |
| 5 | | the Resident's Council, the Interviewing Committee, and |
| 6 | | playing bingo and helping to tend the garden; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich was preceded in death by his |
| 8 | | parents; his wife, Lillian; his brother, Wilbert; and his |
| 9 | | sisters, Anne Carstens and Lorna Schlomann; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich is survived by his daughter, Diane |
| 11 | | (John) Cleland; his grandchildren, Scott and Daria Cleland; his |
| 12 | | sisters-in-law, Elda Heinrich, Myrtle Jenkins, and Dorothy |
| 13 | | (Leonard) Nerge; his brother-in-law, Leonard (Marilyn) |
| 14 | | Hachmeister; and his nieces and nephews, Audrey Heinrich, Dan |
| 15 | | (Anne) Heinrich, Susan (Mike) Volmer, Bob (Seonwha) Carstens, |
| 16 | | Paula (Shaun) Graser, Debbie (Stephen) Wolfe, Jeff |
| 17 | | Hachmeister, Jon (Judy) Hachmeister, Karen Bedore, Valerie |
| 18 | | Hachmeister, Duane (Carol) Nerge, Cindy (Carl) Gnewuch, and Bob |
| 19 | | (Louise) Jenkins; therefore, be it

| 20 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 21 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 22 | | Norman Heinrich, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 23 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
