SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Charles E. Evans Jr. of Joliet, who 
4passed away on April 17, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Evans Jr. was born in Joliet to Charles 
6and Estella Evans; he graduated from Joliet Township High 
7School in 1955; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Charles Evans Jr. retired from the Will County 
9Highway Department; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Charles Evans Jr. was a past Grand Exalted Ruler 
11of Fort Erie Elk Lodge #167; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Charles Evans Jr. was preceded in death by his 
13parents and his daughter; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Charles Evans Jr. is survived by his wife, 
15Shellia; his sisters, Ethel M. Bankston and Rev. Genevieve 
16Brown; his son, Keith Evans; his daughter, Kim (Charles) 
17Bennett; and his uncle, nieces, nephew, and a host of friends; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Charles Evans Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

6presented to the family of Charles Evans Jr. as an expression 
7of our deepest sympathy.
