SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Richard A. Giesen of Lake Forest, who 
4passed away on April 19, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Giesen was a graduate of Northwestern 
6University; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Giesen was a long-time business executive 
8in Chicago whose career included leading Field Enterprises and 
9Continental Packaging Solutions; he was also a director of 
10GTAX, Stone Container, and J. Walter Thompson Advertising; and
  
 


  
11    WHEREAS, Richard Giesen was the beloved husband of Jeannine 
12(nee St. Bernard) Giesen; the cherished father of Rick (Lynn) 
13Giesen, Laurie Giesen, and Mark (Greta) Giesen; and the adored 
14grandfather of Lindsay, Spencer, Reggie, Soleil, and Noah; 
15therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Richard Giesen, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
