SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Frank R. Witt of Wheaton, who passed away 
4on December 24, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Witt was born in Chicago and moved with his 
6family to Franklin Park when he was a teenager; he graduated 
7from Leyden High School in 1951, briefly attended Elmhurst 
8College, and served a stint in the U.S. Army; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Frank Witt was the golf professional at Cress 
10Creek Country Club in Naperville from the time it opened in 
111963 until 1993; he taught hundreds of members how to improve 
12their game; he participated in the PGA's winter tour, regularly 
13competing in weekly tour events; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, In retirement, Frank Witt continued to share his 
15knowledge with golfers on a part-time basis, providing 
16instruction at the White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville and at 
17Cantigny Golf in Wheaton; and
  
 
  
18    WHEREAS, Frank Witt is survived by his second wife, Judy; 
19his son, David Witt; his daughters, Michelle Burge, Suzanne 
20Tullar, and Paula Enderby; his brothers, George and Michael; 
21his 6 grandchildren; his 3 step-daughters; his 3

1step-grandchildren; and his step-great-grandchild; therefore,

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Frank Witt, and we extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Frank Witt as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
