SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Marvin Whitney of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on January 19, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Marvin Whitney was born on June 19, 1935, in 
6Waukegan to Frank Sr. and Agnes Whitney; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Marvin Whitney served in the U.S. Army and retired 
8from Johnson Motors in 1997 after 42 years of employment; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Marvin Whitney was an avid Green Bay Packers fan 
10and a Chicago White Sox fan; he loved putting up Purple Marten 
11houses; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Marvin Whitney was preceded in death by his 
13parents and his brother, Frank Whitney Jr.; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Marvin Whitney is survived by his wife of 49 
15years, Patricia; his sons, Mark, Jeffery (Elizabeth), and 
16Donald; his granddaughter, Vanessa; and his brother, Robert 
17Whitney; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Marvin Whitney, and we extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
3further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Marvin Whitney as an expression of 
6our deepest sympathy.
