| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3283 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 7, line 15, after the period, by inserting "The |
| 4 | | Department shall not remove a child from the home of a fictive |
| 5 | | kin on the basis that the fictive kin fails to apply for |
| 6 | | licensure within 6 months of the child's placement with the |
| 7 | | fictive kin, or fails to meet the standard for licensure."; and
|
| 8 | | on page 7, line 16, by replacing "January 1, 2015" with "June |
| 9 | | 1, 2015"; and
|
| 10 | | on page 7, immediately below line 23, by inserting the |
| 11 | | following: |
| 12 | | "The provisions added to this subsection (b) by this |
| 13 | | amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly shall become |
| 14 | | operative on and after June 1, 2015.".
