| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2136 on page 3 by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 9 through 11 with the following:

| 4 | | "claimed under Section 40 of this Act for a period of 24 months |
| 5 | | from the date the call is made.

| 7 | | Sec. 50. Enforcement by residential subscriber. Any |
| 8 | | residential subscriber who"; and

| 9 | | on page 3 by replacing line 15 with the following:

| 10 | | "of $500 per violation. No action or proceeding may be brought |
| 11 | | more than one year after (1) the person bringing the action |
| 12 | | knew or should have known of the alleged violation or (2) the |
| 13 | | termination of any proceeding or action brought pursuant to |
| 14 | | Section 35 that arises out of the same violation.".
