| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Park Commissioners Land Sale Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 5 as follows:
|

| 7 | | (Section scheduled to be repealed on December 31, 2013) |
| 8 | | Sec. 5. Sale of golf course land. |
| 9 | | (a) Any board of park commissioners having the control or |
| 10 | | supervision of any parcel of land that is used for golf course |
| 11 | | purposes or parcel of land that is adjacent to such land used |
| 12 | | for golf course purposes or separated from it by a river in a |
| 13 | | non-home rule county with a population greater than 500,000 but |
| 14 | | less than 1,000,000, and having any piece or parcel of that |
| 15 | | land not exceeding 8 acres in area that is no longer needed or |
| 16 | | deemed necessary or useful for the purpose of that golf course, |
| 17 | | may apply to the circuit court of the county in which the piece |
| 18 | | or parcel of land is situated by petition in writing for leave |
| 19 | | to sell that parcel. Notice of such application shall be given |
| 20 | | by the board of park commissioners in some newspaper published |
| 21 | | in the county at least 10 days before the day named therein |
| 22 | | stating when the application will be made. All persons |
| 23 | | interested may appear before the circuit court either in person |
