Amends the Historic Preservation Agency Act. Contains a provision creating the Historic Preservation Appeals Board within the Historic Preservation Agency.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Historic Preservation Agency Act is amended |
| 5 | | by adding Section 34.1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 3405/34.1 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 34.1. Historic Preservation Appeals Board. The |
| 8 | | Historic Preservation Appeals Board is created within the |
| 9 | | Historic Preservation Agency. The Appeals Board shall consist |
| 10 | | of the following members: |
| 11 | | (1) Two representatives from the building trades. |
| 12 | | (2) Two representatives from municipalities within a |
| 13 | | county. |
| 14 | | (4) Four members of the Board of Trustees of the |
| 15 | | Historic Preservation Agency who shall serve ex-officio. |
| 16 | | (5) One representative of the National Register of |
| 17 | | Historic Places.
