| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1871 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 10, by replacing lines 17 through 23 with the |
| 4 | | following:
|
| 5 | | "If, after releasing security to a judgment debtor or |
| 6 | | claimant, the balance of the security posted with the Secretary |
| 7 | | is $5 or less, the balance shall be transferred to the General |
| 8 | | Revenue Fund. The
Secretary shall compile a list of all |
| 9 | | security amounts of $5 or less annually in July and shall |
| 10 | | certify that amount to the State Comptroller. As soon as |
| 11 | | possible after receiving the certification, the State |
| 12 | | Comptroller shall order transferred and the State Treasurer |
| 13 | | shall transfer the amount certified to the General Revenue |
| 14 | | Fund.".
