|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Stallion and Jack Service Lien Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (770 ILCS 100/1) (from Ch. 8, par. 51)

| 7 | | Sec. 1.
Every owner of any
stallion or jack kept for public |
| 8 | | service, who, at the
the request of the
owner of any mare or |
| 9 | | jennet, or his authorized agent, shall cause such
mare or |
| 10 | | jennet to be served by his stallion or jack, shall have a lien
|
| 11 | | on the mare or jennet served and first lien upon the progeny of |
| 12 | | such
mare or jennet for the service fee of such stallion or |
| 13 | | jack and each
lien conferred by this Act shall take precedence |
| 14 | | of all other liens or
claims thereon not duly recorded prior to |
| 15 | | recording claim of lien as
hereinafter provided. |
