HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Carver James of 
4Dakota High School on winning the Illinois High School 
5Association Class 1A 152-pound State wrestling championship; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Carver James compiled a season record of 45 wins 
8and 1 loss on his way to his 2nd State championship; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Carver James  wrestles for 11 months of the year, 
10and because of his success in the sport, he has had the 
11opportunity to travel all over the country; he has been a 
12member of several all-State Illinois dual teams that have 
13competed in Indiana, Michigan, Virginia, and other states; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, In addition to being a successful wrestler, Carver 
15James is an outstanding student; he maintains a 3.5 GPA and is 
16a member of the National Honor Society; he has been on the 
17student council since the 7th grade; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Carver James still finds time to work and the past 
192 summers has worked at Springbrook Cheese, and plans on doing 
20so again this summer; and

1    WHEREAS, In his free time, Carver James enjoys attending 
2area county fair concerts, usually seeing 8 to 9 concerts a 
3year; he spends what time he has left updating his Twitter 
4account, which he hopes to see reach 2,000 followers by the 
5time school lets out; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we congratulate Carver James of Dakota High School on winning 
9the Illinois High School Association Class 1A 152-pound State 
10wrestling championship; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Carver James as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
