HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dennis Stefanowicz 
4on the occasion of his retirement as a Trustee of the Village 
5of Norridge; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dennis Stefanowicz was elected as a Trustee in 
7April 2005; he was the Chairman of the Water, Streets, and 
8Alleys Committee and has dedicated his professional career to 
9public service and his personal life to the community in which 
10he lives; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Dennis Stefanowicz has been a member of the 
12Norwood Park Fire Department for 36 years, serving as Chief for 
13the last 8; he also has 14 years of experience with the Village 
14of Norridge, serving most recently in 2000 and 2001 as a 
15Trustee on an interim basis; he served as a Building 
16Commissioner from 1988 to 1996, and as a member of the 
17Electrical Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals, and the 
18Northwest Building and Code Officials; for 16 years, he served 
19on the District 80 School Board, including 13 years as 
20President; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Dennis Stefanowicz currently serves on the 911 
22Emergency Board; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Dennis Stefanowicz on his retirement as a 
4Trustee of the Village of Norridge; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Dennis Stefanowicz as an expression of our esteem 
7and respect.
