HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to honor Joseph A. Straka as he 
4retires from the position of Executive Director of PACT, Inc.; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Joseph Straka has served as Executive Director of 
7PACT, Inc. of Lisle since May 5, 1990; he will officially step 
8down on June 30, 2013; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Straka was a member of the Lisle Chamber of 
10Commerce from 2010 to 2013; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Straka has worked with persons with 
12disabilities since 1970; he has worked extensively with the 
13Illinois Department of Human Services, DuPage County, and 
14numerous community groups, such as the Arc of Illinois and the 
15Illinois Association of Independent Service Coordination 
16Agencies on behalf of persons with disabilities to help improve 
17services for people with disabilities and their families; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, Joseph Straka will be honored at a retirement 
19reception on June 24, 2013, at the Lisle Hilton; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Joseph A. Straka on his retirement from PACT, 
4Inc., thank him for his dedicated work on behalf of people with 
5disabilities and their families in DuPage County, and wish him 
6well in all his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Joseph Straka as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
