HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association was 
3organized on March 21, 1963, and is one of the largest and most 
4active county police chiefs associations in Illinois and the 
5United States; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association is 
7composed of more than 115 of the county's top law enforcement 
8executives, retired police executives, and private sector 
9partners; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association 
11serves city and county police departments, as well as federal 
12and State law enforcement agencies, college and university 
13police, and private business and security firms; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association 
15promotes legislation that would enhance public security, 
16facilitate the dissemination of information, provide 
17continuing police training, and promote a better understanding 
18of the police profession in general; and

  
 
19    WHEREAS, The DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association is 
20celebrating its 50th anniversary on March 23, 2013; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we recognize and congratulate the DuPage County Chiefs of 
4Police Association for 50 years of outstanding service in law 
5enforcement in DuPage County and the State of Illinois; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association as 
9a symbol of our esteem and respect.
