Amends the Counties Code. Extends the applicability provision of the Division to all counties within the State (currently, only DuPage County). Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 5-44010 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (55 ILCS 5/5-44010) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-44010. Applicability. The powers and authorities |
| 8 | | provided by this Division 5-44 apply to all counties within the |
| 9 | | State only to counties with a population of more than 900,000 |
| 10 | | and less than 3,000,000 that are contiguous to a county with a |
| 11 | | population of more than 3,000,000 and units of local government |
| 12 | | within such counties.
