| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Mental Health and Developmental |
| 5 | | Disabilities Code is amended by adding Section 1-102.1 as |
| 6 | | follows:
|
| 7 | | (405 ILCS 5/1-102.1 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 1-102.1. "Clinical professional counselor" means a |
| 9 | | person licensed as a clinical professional counselor in |
| 10 | | accordance with the Professional Counselor and Clinical |
| 11 | | Professional Counselor Licensing and Practice Act.

| 12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 | | becoming law.
