| 1 | | AN ACT concerning government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Officials and Employees Ethics Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 70-20 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 430/70-20) |
| 7 | | Sec. 70-20. Members appointed by a county. In addition to |
| 8 | | any other applicable requirement of law, any member of a |
| 9 | | governmental entity appointed by the president or chairperson |
| 10 | | of the county board, or by any member or members of the county |
| 11 | | board, with or without the advice and consent of the county |
| 12 | | board, shall abide by the ethics laws applicable to, and the |
| 13 | | ethics policies of, that county and, if applicable, shall be |
| 14 | | subject to the jurisdiction of that county's ethics officer or |
| 15 | | inspector general.
