| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Commission to End the Disparities Facing the |
| 5 | | African-American Community Act is amended by changing Sections |
| 6 | | 15 and 95 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 5020/15) |
| 8 | | (Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2014)
|
| 9 | | Sec. 15. Meetings; report. The Commission shall: |
| 10 | | (1) research the disparities facing African-Americans |
| 11 | | in the areas of healthcare, healthcare services, |
| 12 | | employment, education, criminal justice, housing, and |
| 13 | | other social and economic issues; |
| 14 | | (2) hold one or more public hearings, at which public |
| 15 | | testimony shall be heard; and |
| 16 | | (3) report its findings and specific recommendations |
| 17 | | to the General Assembly on or before December 31, 2015 |
| 18 | | 2013, after which the Commission shall dissolve.
