Amends the Civic Center Code. Provides that the Authority shall make buildings of a civic center organized under this Code available for emergency purposes. Provides that the Authority shall cooperate in all matters with the Illinois Emergency
Management Agency, local emergency management agencies, a State-accredited emergency management agency with jurisdiction, local public health departments, the American Red Cross, and
federal agencies concerned with emergency preparedness and response. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Civic Center Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 2-160 as follows: |
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 200/2-160 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 2-160. Buildings available for emergency purposes. |
| 8 | | The Authority shall make buildings of a civic center organized |
| 9 | | under this Code available for emergency purposes upon the |
| 10 | | request of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, a |
| 11 | | State-accredited emergency management agency with |
| 12 | | jurisdiction, or the American Red Cross. The Authority shall |
| 13 | | cooperate in all matters with the Illinois Emergency
Management |
| 14 | | Agency, local emergency management agencies, a |
| 15 | | State-accredited emergency management agency with |
| 16 | | jurisdiction, local public health departments, the American |
| 17 | | Red Cross, and

| 19 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 20 | | becoming law.
