|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Unemployment Insurance Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 1701 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (820 ILCS 405/1701) (from Ch. 48, par. 611)

| 7 | | Sec. 1701.
Rules and
and
regulations. |
| 8 | | General and special rules may be adopted, amended, or |
| 9 | | rescinded by the
Director only after public hearing or |
| 10 | | opportunity to be heard thereon, of
which proper notice has |
| 11 | | been given. General rules shall become effective
ten days after |
| 12 | | filing with the Secretary of State and publication in one or
|
| 13 | | more newspapers of general circulation in this State. Special |
| 14 | | rules shall
become effective ten days after notification to or |
| 15 | | mailing to the last
known address of the individuals or |
| 16 | | concerns affected thereby. Regulations
may be adopted, |
| 17 | | amended, or rescinded by the Director and shall become
|
| 18 | | effective ten days after filing with the Secretary of State, |
| 19 | | and such
filing shall be public notice of such regulation, |
| 20 | | amendment thereto, or
rescission thereof, as the case may be.
