AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1225




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1225 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act 
5is amended  by adding Section 1.10 as follows:
 
6    (105 ILCS 25/1.10 new)
7    Sec. 1.10. CPR training video.
8    (a)  The Illinois High School Association shall post a 
9training video on hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation and 
10automated external defibrillators on the association's 
11Internet website, but only if it is provided to the association 
12free of charge and is no more than 15 minutes in length.
13    (b) School districts shall notify parents, student 
14athletes, and staff in newsletters, bulletins, calendars, or 
15other correspondence currently published by the school 
16district of the video posted under subsection (a) of this

1Section and encourage parents, student athletes, and staff to 
2view it.
 

3    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
4becoming law.".
