Immunity Act is amended by changing Section |

(a) The
The purpose of this Act is to protect |
| 9 | | local public
entities and public employees from liability |
| 10 | | arising from the operation of
government. It grants only |
| 11 | | immunities and defenses. |
| 12 | | (b) Any defense or immunity, common law or statutory, |
| 13 | | available to any
private person shall likewise be available to |
| 14 | | local public entities and
public employees.
