<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>5 ILCS 140/7</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 116, par. 207</aliasreference><reference>50 ILCS 205/20 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Local Records Act. Provides that a unit of local government or school district may maintain an Internet website and post to that website certain specified information. Provides that a unit of local government or school district may develop, maintain, and make publicly available a website database that allows the public to review expenditure information. Requires that any information posted pursuant to this amendatory Act be easily accessible from the entity's home page. Provides that records posted pursuant to this amendatory Act may remain posted on the entity's website, or subsequent websites, in perpetuity. Amends the Freedom of Information Act. Exempts from the Act's copying and disclosure requirements any record or information that a unit of local government or school district maintains an electronic copy of on its Internet website under the Local Records Act. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
