<reference>25 ILCS 115/1</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 63, par. 14</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the General Assembly Compensation Act. Provides that, for a General Assembly member whose term of office commences on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act and who is elected to any other public office or offices on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the total, combined annual salary to which the member shall be entitled to receive for service as a General Assembly member and in those other capacities shall be an amount equal to the lesser of (i) the sum he or she is entitled to receive for service as a General Assembly member or (ii) the sum of the salaries he or she is entitled to receive for service in those other elected public offices. Provides for the transfer of excess amounts to the General Revenue Fund. Defines "public office".</SynopsisText></synopsis>
