SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Juan Delgado Ortiz, who passed away on 
4November 24, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Juan Delgado Ortiz was born on May 16, 1921, in 
6Yabucoa, Puerto Rico; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Juan Delgado Ortiz served his country with pride 
8and distinction as a member of the United States Armed Forces 
9during World War II; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Juan Delgado Ortiz worked for Inland Steel for 
11over 20 years; and

  
 
12    WHEREAS, Juan Delgado Ortiz is survived by his wife of 66 
13years, Angelina Delgado; his brother, Benito Delgado Ortiz; his 
14sister, Carmen Delgado Ortiz; his children, Juan Delgado, Jr. 
15(Elizabeth), Angela Zechinato (Max), Anita Bogus (Dennis), 
16Jaime Delgado (Lucy), Illinois State Senator William Delgado 
17(Iris), Rick Delgado (Cynthia), and Mili Torres (Ernie); his 14 
18grandchildren; his 7 great-grandchildren; and his many nieces 
19and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
2his family and friends, the passing of Juan Delgado Ortiz; and

5presented to the family of Juan Delgado Ortiz as an expression 
6of our sympathy.
