SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Michael F. Mariani; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Michael Mariani was drafted by the Chicago 
5Cardinals Professional Football Club in 1954; he also served as 
6a teacher and coach for 30 years; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Michael Mariani was inducted into the Illinois 
8High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame and the 
9Lewis University Hall of Fame; and

  
 
10    WHEREAS, Michael Mariani was the beloved husband of Shirley 
11for 56 years; the devoted father of Rosanne Mariani, Regina 
12(Bob) O'Connor, and Lisa (Tom) Santoria; the fond grandfather 
13of Casey (Gary), Lauren (Brian), Meaghan, Michael, and Vincent; 
14the dear brother of Dorothy, the late Angelo (the late 
15Frances), the late Steve (Grace), the late Anna (Jim) Perna, 
16and the late Frank (the late Theresa); and the dear uncle and 
17great-uncle of many; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
20his family and friends, the passing of Michael F. Mariani; and
