SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Francis Alaksiewicz of Peoria, who passed 
4away on February 16, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Francis Alaksiewicz was born on November 24, 1938, 
6in Warsaw, Poland; his adopted parents were Bruno and Marie 
7(Gabrysiak) Alaksiewicz; he married Carolyn Louis on June 11, 
81966, in Benson; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Francis Alaksiewicz served his country as a member 
10of the United States Army during peace time; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Francis Alaksiewicz was employed with the United 
12States Postal Service; he subsequently worked as a lab 
13technician at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization 
14Research in Peoria, where he served until his retirement in 
152000; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Francis Alaksiewicz was a member of the Holy 
17Family Catholic Church in Peoria; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Francis Alaksiewicz was preceded in death by his 
19parents and his son, David; and

1    WHEREAS, Francis Alaksiewicz is survived by his wife, 
2Carolyn, and his sons, Matthew, John, Mark, and Mike; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6his family and friends, the passing of Francis Alaksiewicz; and 
7be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Francis Alaksiewicz as an expression 
10of our sympathy.
