| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
James "Jim" Pesoli, who passed away on |
| 4 | | September 13, 2011; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, In 1989, James Pesoli founded Icon Electrical |
| 6 | | Contractors, Inc., a commercial contracting company that has |
| 7 | | developed countless buildings and communities throughout Cook |
| 8 | | County and the surrounding counties; as an electrician by |
| 9 | | trade, he had a passion for creating something that could be |
| 10 | | appreciated throughout time; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, James Pesoli was a four-time cancer survivor who |
| 12 | | never stopped smiling through his life; in 1985, he founded |
| 13 | | Kids Fight Cancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to |
| 14 | | improving the lives of children and families afflicted with |
| 15 | | cancer; over the years, he was nicknamed "The Fairy Godfather"; |
| 16 | | countless friends, colleagues, and members of the public |
| 17 | | throughout the United States believed in his passion, his |
| 18 | | motivation, the charity's mission, and his message to |
| 19 | | "Celebrate Life"; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, James Pesoli is survived by his high school |
| 21 | | sweetheart and wife of 34 years, Susan Pesoli; his sons, Jim |
| 22 | | Pesoli, Esq. and Joe Pesoli; his daughter-in-law Michelle |
