SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Frank R. Ardelean of Aurora, who passed 
4away on April 14, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was known by many for his work as a State Farm 
6Agent until his retirement in 1999 after 30 years of service; 
7he is also remembered by many as the "Mayor Emeritus of Pigeon 
8Hill"; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, He will be remembered by the parishioners of Saint 
10Michael Church-Aurora for his commitment to his church and 
11faith; he loved to fish and travel the country and world with 
12his loving wife, children, and grandchildren; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose 
14(Silagy) and Frank Ardelean; and his brother, John Ardelean; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Frank Ardelean is survived in life by his loving 
17wife and best friend of 55 years, Darlene (Hoorelbek); his 
18children, Sandy (Kerry) Pardridge, Linda Ardelean, Ron (Wendy) 
19Ardelean, Greg (Joyce) Ardelean, Rosemary (Rick) Johanns, 
20Diane (Michael) Kuk, Daniel Ardelean, Nadine (Eric) Bramm, and 
21Michele (David) Zinke; his grandchildren, Ashton, Caitlyn, and

1Cody Pardridge, Bryan and Brittany Ardelean (and great 
2grandson, Jaxtyn Ardelean), Amanda and Alex Ardelean, Renae, 
3Reid, and Rhys Johanns, Samantha, Ian, and Hayden Kuk, Alyssa 
4Hasenhayer, Teddy Ardelean, Kayley, Dakota, and Ella Zinke; his 
5brother, Michael (Cornelia) Ardelean; his sisters-in-law, 
6Sharon (John) Barry and Beverly Bugbee; his nieces, Lauren 
7Ardelean, Nancy Cowans, Evelyn Bugbee, Laura Driessen, and Dawn 
8Schmall; his nephews, Tim and Steve Ardelean; his dear cousin, 
9Viola Moldavon; and his extended family in Romania, Florica, 
10her daughter Maria (Nelu) Salajan, and their daughters, Anca 
11and Alina; therefore, be it
  
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
14his family and friends, the passing of Frank Ardelean; and be 
15it further
  
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to the family of Frank Ardelean as a symbol of our 
18sincere sympathy.
