SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of Geraldine M. "Gerry" Maleski of Herrin, 
4who passed away on February 1, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Geraldine Maleski was born on April 25, 1921, in 
6Herrin; her parents were Tony and Maggie (Elena) Garavalia; she 
7married Truman H. Lynn, who preceded her in death in 1953; she 
8married James "Jake" Maleski on September 5, 1959, in Royalton; 
9he preceded her in death on October 29, 2003; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Geraldine Maleski formerly worked as a secretary 
11for the Herrin Senior Citizens and the Williamson County 
12Industrial Commission; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Geraldine Maleski was a Christian and enjoyed word 
14searches and tending to her flowers; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Geraldine Maleski was preceded in death by her 
16parents; her husbands; her brother, Randolph Garavalia; and her 
17granddaughter, Kristin Lynn; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Geraldine Maleski is survived by her sons, Gary 
19Dale Lynn and his wife, Kathy, Randy Lynn and his wife, Judy, 
20Dick Lynn and his wife, Vicki, Rick Lynn and his wife, Kathy,

1Jon Maleski and his wife, Lisa, and Jim A. Maleski and his 
2wife, Alisa; her 16 grandchildren; and her 17 
3great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6her family and friends, the passing of Geraldine M. "Gerry" 
7Maleski; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Geraldine Maleski as an expression 
10of our sympathy.
