| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Tucker Nevel on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, He will receive the rank of Eagle Scout at an | ||||||
| 6 | Eagle Scout Court of Honor on April 23, 2011 with his parents, | ||||||
| 7 | Marty and Laura Nevel, beside him; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Tucker Nevel has been scouting for 10 years; he | ||||||
| 9 | went through the ranks of Tiger, Bear, Wolf, Webelos I, and | ||||||
| 10 | Webelos II while in Cub Scouts; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, During his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Tucker | ||||||
| 12 | Nevel went through the ranks of Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, First | ||||||
| 13 | Class, Star Scout, Life Scout, and finally Eagle Scout; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Tucker Nevel was an Ordeal member of the Order of | ||||||
| 15 | the Arrow, the Boy Scout Honor Society, and is now in the rank | ||||||
| 16 | of Brotherhood; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Tucker Nevel holds the position of Lodge Vice | ||||||
| 18 | Chief within the Order of the Arrow Honor Society; he has been | ||||||
| 19 | awarded 24 Merit Badges, including 12 Eagle required badges for | ||||||
| 20 | his service to the community; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Tucker Nevel | ||||||
| 2 | spent over 200 hours collecting, boxing, loading, unloading, | ||||||
| 3 | and stocking the Schaumburg Food Pantry with the equivalent of | ||||||
| 4 | a half semi trailer filled with pantry necessities to feed and | ||||||
| 5 | help the neediest people of the community; along the way to | ||||||
| 6 | completing his goal, Tucker communicated and led his team with | ||||||
| 7 | the skills he learned from his family and his scouting career; | ||||||
| 8 | and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Tucker Nevel serves as a model of hard work, | ||||||
| 10 | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 11 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 13 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 14 | we congratulate Tucker Nevel on the occasion of attaining the | ||||||
| 15 | coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and | ||||||
| 16 | happiness in the future; and be it further
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 18 | presented to Tucker Nevel as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
| 19 | respect.
