Amends the Counties Code and the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that the board of health of a county, multi-county health department, or municipality, as applicable, shall issue a permit for the operation of a seasonal food service establishment. Sets forth procedures concerning the renewal of a license. Provides that "seasonal food service establishment" means a food establishment, other than a mobile food establishment, that is operated for no more than 5 months in a licensing period. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 5-25028 as follows: |

| 7 | | Sec. 5-25028. Seasonal food service permits. The board of |
| 8 | | health of a county or multi-county health department shall |
| 9 | | issue a permit for the operation of a seasonal food service |
| 10 | | establishment. In the case of a seasonal food service |
| 11 | | establishment, a person or entity seeking license renewal shall |
| 12 | | submit an application for renewal to the board of health of a |
| 13 | | county or multi-county health department, as applicable, |
| 14 | | before commencing operation in a new licensing period. |
| 15 | | "Seasonal food service establishment" means a food |
| 16 | | establishment, other than a mobile food establishment, that is |
| 17 | | operated for no more than 5 months in a licensing period. |
| 18 | | Section 10. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 19 | | adding Section 11-20-17 as follows: |
