| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Central Illinois
Economic Development |
| 5 | | Authority
Act is amended by adding Section 27 as follows: |
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 504/27 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 27. Employment advisory boards. The Authority may |
| 8 | | establish one or more employment advisory boards to report to |
| 9 | | it on employment related issues. Employment advisory boards |
| 10 | | must consist of members of the Authority and representatives |
| 11 | | from businesses and vocational training institutions that are |
| 12 | | located within the geographic boundaries of the Authority |
| 13 | | including, but not limited to, the following: (i) |
| 14 | | manufacturers, (ii) health care providers, (iii) community |
| 15 | | colleges, and (iv) producers and shippers of commodity and |
| 16 | | value-added farm products. The chairperson of an employment |
| 17 | | advisory board shall be appointed by a majority vote of the |
| 18 | | Authority. The Authority may adopt ordinances or resolutions |
| 19 | | concerning the reports created by employment advisory boards |
| 20 | | including, but not limited to, the topics and timeframes for |
| 21 | | the reports. Employment advisory boards shall receive |
| 22 | | administrative and other support from the Authority and the |
| 23 | | Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
