Deletes language providing that, at the option of a church or private school that is a polling place for voting by absentee ballot, no person shall, during the period beginning on the 40th day preceding an election and continuing through the day preceding the election, display advertising pertaining to a candidate or proposition to be voted on or engage in electioneering on any of the property of that church or private school. Provides that nothing shall prohibit the placement of temporary signs within a private dwelling in a public or private building where a polling place is located. Provides that nothing shall prohibit the placement of temporary signs on the doors or windows of a private dwelling in a public or private building so long as that private dwelling is located on a different floor than the polling room or that private dwelling is located a distance of at least 100 horizontal feet from each entrance to the polling room if the private dwelling and polling room are located on the same floor. <SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the engrossed bill, but makes changes. Provides that a person shall have the right to engage in electioneering on any polling place property while the polls are open beyond the campaign free zone, including, but not limited to, (rather than, except for) the placement of temporary signs.
