<reference>105 ILCS 5/1D-1</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the School Code. Provides that the report that a school district having a population exceeding 500,000 inhabitants must file with the State Board of Education on its use of the block grants must include the following description for the district, which must also be reported to the General Assembly: block grant allocation and expenditures by program; population and service levels by program; and administrative expenditures by program. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Floor Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>105 ILCS 5/1C-4</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the contents of the bill as introduced, with the following changes. Provides that the State Board of Education shall ensure that the reporting requirements for the Chicago school district are the same as for all other school districts in this State. Amends the Article of the School Code concerning block grants for districts other than Chicago. Provides that a school district that receives an Early Childhood Education Block Grant shall report to the State Board of Education on its use of the block grant in such form and detail as the State Board of Education may specify. Requires the report to include the following description for the district, which must also be reported to the General Assembly: block grant allocation and expenditures by program; population and service levels by program; and administrative expenditures by program. Changes the effective date from immediate to July 1, 2011.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
