Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the appointment and removal of facility directors and other employees.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>

Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act. Provides that subject to appropriation, the Department of Human Services shall be authorized to operate Community Resource Centers at each of its 8 State-Operated Developmental Centers (SODC) with the objective of augmenting services delivered in the community by providing the services of the skilled SODC workforce to individuals residing in community settings when individuals need those services. Provides that services may be provided on an inpatient or outpatient basis, in the resident's home, or in other settings and may include, but need not be limited to, (i) direct care services for individuals with developmental disabilities and (ii) specialized training in the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities for direct care practitioners and students.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
