<reference>705 ILCS 405/5-710</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>730 ILCS 5/5-5-3</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 1005-5-3</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 and the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that in addition to any term of incarceration that may be imposed by the court and unless the court determines that it has good cause not to impose these requirements, a gang member who is under 21 years of age and who has been found guilty of or continued under supervision for a gang-related offense and who has not previously been found guilty of or continued under supervision for a gang-related offense shall, upon completion of any term of incarceration, be required: (i) to perform community service, the type and number of hours of community service to be determined by the court; (ii) if the gang member does not have a high school diploma or a GED certificate, to attend and complete educational courses designed to prepare the gang member to pass the high school level Test of General Educational Development (GED); (iii) to comply with a curfew (A) between 11:00 p.m. on Friday and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday; (B) between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday; and (C) between 10:00 p.m. on Sunday to Thursday, inclusive, and 6:00 a.m. on the following day; and (iv) to attend Life Skills classes conducted by a community college or by a non-profit offender re-entry program.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>

Provides that the arrest records of a gang member who is under 21 years of age and who has been found guilty of or continued under supervision for a gang-related offense and who has not previously been found guilty of or continued under supervision for a gang-related offense are eligible for sealing upon compliance with: (i) community service determined by the court; (ii) completion of educational courses designed to prepare the gang member to pass the high school level Test of General Educational Development (GED) if the gang member does not have a GED certificate or high school diploma; (iii) a curfew (A) between 11:00 p.m. on Friday and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday; (B) between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday; and (C) between 10:00 p.m. on Sunday to Thursday, inclusive, and 6:00 a.m. on the following day; and (iv) attendance at Life Skills classes conducted by a community college or by a non-profit offender re-entry program.
