Provides that on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act and until November 30, 2011, the county board of Rock Island may reduce the salaries or return to a per diem method of compensation for all county board members and the Chairman of the board. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>55 ILCS 5/4-9002 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Further amends the Counties Code. Provides that on and after the effective date of the amendatory Act and until November 30, 2011, the county board of Cook County may select to change the manner of compensation of all county board members and the Chairman of the board for the purpose of reducing compensation or returning to a per diem method of compensation. Replaces language in the introduced bill to provide that the county board in any county (now, Rock Island County) may select to change the manner of compensation of county board members and the Chairman of the board.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
