SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
James H. McClenahan, who passed away on 
4December 30, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James McClenahan was born on December 10, 1921, in 
6Dupo; he was the son of James William and Melbo Lucille 
7(Vallowe) McClenahan; he married Loretta May McDowell on June 
826, 1945, in Granite City; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James McClenahan served his country with pride and 
10distinction as a member of the United States Marine Corps 
11during World War II; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, James McClenahan worked for Illinois Terminal 
13Railroad as an electrician for 34 years before retiring in 
141981; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, James McClenahan was a past State Commander and 
16Quartermaster of the Illinois VFW; he was also a member of the 
17Wood River VFW Post #2859 and the Wood River Methodist Church; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, James McClenahan is survived by his wife; his 
20daughters, Gayle Palen and Patti Daniel and her husband, David;

1his granddaughter, Kate Collins, and her husband, Ryan, her 
2son, Ryder, her grandson, Corey Daniel, and his children, 
3Sydney, Dane, and Sophie; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6his family and friends, the passing of James H. McClenahan; and 
7be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of James McClenahan as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
