SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Barbara Ann Erickson of North Aurora, who 
4passed away on November 10, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson was born on December 24, 
61956, in Aurora; she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burl 
7Watson; she was united in marriage to Harold Erickson on March 
812, 1982; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson grew up in Aurora and 
10attended local schools; she graduated from Aurora Central 
11Catholic High School in 1975; in 1988, she and her husband 
12moved to their present home in North Aurora, where she worked 
13for many years as an administrative assistant for Pizza Hut's 
14corporate offices and served as a North Aurora trustee; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson was a devoted member of St. 
16Rita of Cascia Church in Aurora for over 25 years; she enjoyed 
17participating in discussion groups and served as a Eucharistic 
18Minister at St. Rita; she also enjoyed riding her bicycle along 
19the Fox River Trail, gardening, and making homemade pizzas; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson was preceded in death by her 
21father, Burl Watson, and her children, Benjamin and Daniel; and

1    WHEREAS, Barbara Ann Erickson is survived by her husband, 
2Harold R. Erickson; her mother, Sandra Surratt; her children, 
3Mark Erickson, Julie (John) Gurke, and Ryan (Shandra) Erickson; 
4her grandchildren, Tre and Taylor Mitchell; her brother, Bill; 
5and her sisters, Betty, Jackie, Janie, Jeanie, and Kathy; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9her family and friends, the passing of Barbara Ann Erickson; 
10and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Barbara Ann Erickson as an 
13expression of our sympathy.
