| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of John L. Bonie of Aurora, who passed away |
| 4 | | on October 25, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Bonie was born on October 15, 1915, in |
| 6 | | Aurora; he was the son of the late George and Theresa |
| 7 | | (Moldovan) Bonie; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, John Bonie graduated from East Aurora High School; |
| 9 | | he served his nation as a member of the United States Army Air |
| 10 | | Corps during World War II; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, John Bonie was employed with the Chicago, Aurora, |
| 12 | | and Elgin Railway for 18 years until his resignation as auditor |
| 13 | | of freight accounts and freight claim agent; he was also the |
| 14 | | owner of the Aurora Typewriter Company; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, John Bonie was a member of the Wesley United |
| 16 | | Methodist Church and the Aurora Cosmopolitan Club, where he |
| 17 | | served as President twice; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, John Bonie was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 19 | | Dorothy Dell Bonie; his sister, Mary Weber; and his brother, |
| 20 | | George Bonie; and
