| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
Mark S. Lahey of Jacksonville, who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 11, 2010; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mark Lahey was born on July 1, 1950, in |
| 6 | | Jacksonville; he was the son of L. Bernard and Mary Tarzwell |
| 7 | | Lahey; he married Susan Haubensak on June 26, 1971, in Havana; |
| 8 | | and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Mark Lahey served served his country with pride as |
| 10 | | a member of the United States Army, where he trained soldiers |
| 11 | | for operations in Vietnam; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Mark Lahey was the owner and operator of Lahey |
| 13 | | Machine in Jacksonville for 34 years; he also served as an |
| 14 | | engineer at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired for |
| 15 | | the past 7 years; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mark Lahey was a member of the Church of Our |
| 17 | | Saviour in Jacksonville and an officer and member of the |
| 18 | | Jacksonville Moose Lodge; he enjoyed riding his Harley trike; |
| 19 | | and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Mark Lahey was preceded in death by his daughter, |
