SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Ruben Delgado of Chicago, who passed away 
4on June 12, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ruben Delgado served as an advanced placement 
6Spanish teacher at Morton East High School for the past 3 
7years; he was also accepted into a master's program in Spanish 
8language at the Royal Academy of Languages in Salamanca, Spain; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, In honor of Ruben Delgado and his goal of 
11completing his master's degree, The Ruben Delgado Educational 
12Leadership Fund has been established to honor his life and help 
13young students to achieve their maximum potential; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Ruben Delgado is survived by his father, Illinois 
15State Senator William Delgado; his mother, Iris; and his 
16brother, Adam; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Ruben Delgado served as an inspiration to his 
18loving family and the many students he mentored during his 
19career; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
2his family and friends, the passing of Ruben Delgado; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Ruben Delgado as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
