SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Antoinette "Jeanette" Piening of 
4
Bethalto, who passed away on May 10, 2010; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Antoinette Margaret "Jeanette" Piening was born 
6
on Feb. 24, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Frank 
7
and Theresa (Lang) Duritsch; she married August H. Piening Sr. 
8
on June 21, 1947, in Cincinnati; and
  
 
9
    WHEREAS, She was a homemaker, devoted mother, and 
10
grandmother, and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic 
11
Church in Bethalto; and
  
 
  
12
    WHEREAS, She was preceded  in death by her husband; her 
13
parents; her brothers, Joseph, Frank, Albert, William, Gene, 
14
and Edward Duritsch; and her sister, Margaret "Marie" Jacober; 
15
and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, She is survived by her children, August H. 
17
Piening, William R. Piening, Mary E. Greer, Ann T. and Timothy 
18
McMahon, and Linda S. and Charles W. Hayes; her 10 
19
grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren; therefore, 
20
be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL 
2
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3
her family and friends, the passing of Antoinette Piening; and 
4
be it further
  
 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to the family of Antoinette Piening as a symbol of 
7
our sincere sympathy.
